LUXONIC LIGHT UP ASSOCIATED BRITISH PORTS WITH HI-MAX® LUMINAIRES

Luxonic, the UK’s foremost designer of lighting solutions, has helped deliver massive energy savings to the Associated British Ports’ Port of Hull Terminal thanks to its HI-MAX® LED luminaire. This range has been developed especially for production facilities and warehouse racking, and independent tests by ABP showed that HI-MAX® installations slashed energy consumption by a staggering 96 per cent.

 

The high-powered suspended HI-MAX® is purported to be the leading energy saving solution for open area and racking due to its ultra energy efficient high bay LED design. The luminaires boast a high output LED range from 10,250 to 41,000 lumens, with a LED life of up to 60,000 hours L90 . HI-MAX® can be either suspended or surface mounted at heights of up to 15 metres, and a presence detector means fittings can be set to switch between full to dimmed output dependent on when warehouse space is occupied.

 

Associated British needed a system that met the energy demands of it’s 24-hour warehouse. After an initial trial period, tests demonstrated a huge 96 percent reduction in energy usage, and Luxonic’s full energy evaluation service also calculated ABP’s return on investment from the savings.

 

ABP are one of many warehousing and industrial companies that are switching on to the sustainability benefits of the HI-MAX®. Also suitable for retail settings, one of the big names installing the range are Pets at Home, with Luxonic currently rolling out the HI-MAX® in various locations, with a forecasted 55 percent overall energy saving for the company. As part of the bespoke service Luxonic offer, the HI-MAX® was installed with colour temperature change panels, allowing Pets at Home to adjust the lighting to suit the clinical needs of its on-site operating theatres.

 

Luxonic’s HI-MAX® range combines highly efficient, cost-reducing LED with technological innovation, moving warehousing into the digital age. Wireless versions are available, with DALI dimmable drivers offered as standard. Both systems cut energy output and save costs, using daylight linking to monitor the natural light contribution to illumination levels and automatically adjust luminaire output. Wireless versions, with transceiver modules in each light, allow real-time energy performance monitoring accessible via the Cloud, from any location at any time. Motion detection and daylight sensor data can also be backed up to the Cloud.
