Adore your floor? It’s vital for a successful warehouse operation.

CoGri Group Stand: 612
International Warehouse & Industrial Flooring Services Specialists.

CoGri Group Ltd is an international consortium of flooring solution specialists, providing a full range of services for automated warehouses. CoGri Group will, once again, be exhibiting at IntraLogisteX, NEC, Birmingham. Our experts from Face Consultants, CG Flooring Systems, and Concrete Grinding will be on-hand to offer advice on what is, arguably, the most vital element of any warehouse operation utilising robotic systems – the floor.

Automated Warehouse Floor Flatness Testing

Face Consultants carry out floor flatness testing for Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR), Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), and other robotic systems; optimising warehouse floors to provide smooth and efficient operations. In addition, Face Consultants test floors for Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) warehouses utilising fully automated systems, as well as semi-automated systems where VNA trucks are in use. This ensures that the level of flatness required in relation to the height of the racking system is met.

Face Consultants are also able to develop floor specifications that meet the needs of mobile materials handling equipment but are easily understood by the construction industry, thus, allowing them to deliver the appropriate platform.

Laser-Guided Robotics Profileograph

Face Consultants will be demonstrating the Robotics Profileograph at the show. Manufactured in-house by the CoGri Engineering team, this Profileograph is used to identify areas of the floor out of tolerance and requiring remedial grinding.

Grinding Industrial Floors into Compliance

Once areas requiring grinding have been marked out, CG Flooring Systems quickly and efficiently grind the floors into compliance for automated systems and robotics, ensuring specifications are met. Not only this, but CG Flooring are expert in the upgrading of warehouse floors, carrying out repairs on joints that have curled or have poor load transfer capability. Also, the repair of joints wider than 5mm, which will impact the smooth running of mobile robotics.

 Ultra-Flat Floors

Concrete Grinding Ltd employs their world-leading laser-guided grinding system, the Laser Grinder®, to achieve super or even ultra-flat floor specifications for VNA warehouse operations using semi or fully automated systems.

 Transforming Floors for Robotic Systems

Group M.D, Kevin Dare, says, “Although the adoption of automated systems in warehouses is increasing at a rapid pace, it might come as a surprise to many that modern warehouse floors aren’t always designed to work well with robotic systems. Therefore, some may not appreciate the importance of the floor for their successful integration. Face Consultants can test that floors comply with manufacturers’ specifications, such as flatness, levelness, curvature, and step transitions, as well as surface characteristics such as surface gloss, friction, micro-roughness, and abrasion resistance.”

He continues, “Once Face Consultants have marked any remedial grinding needed and outlaid clearly specified working performance characteristics, our teams of specialist grinding technicians are on hand to turn floors into fully compliant and efficient spaces, ensuring cost-effective operations, with maximum productivity.”
