Rod McKenzie is the Managing Director of Policy and Public Affairs at the RHA. He joined the organisation in 2016 as Director of Marketing and Communications after a 30-year career as a journalist mainly with the BBC. He had a notable career as an on-air radio broadcaster, before becoming an award-winning editor, Television executive producer and executive editor of BBC News and creating highly-successful online news sites and social media operations before setting up his own media consultancy and public policy business. He is a big believer in social media and digital communications and the power of the RHA to influence Government and others to bring about positive change in the road transport and logistics industry. With Brexit, Clean Air Zones and a host of other issues facing the industry he has “never been busier” running the RHA policy operation. He can be seen and heard regularly on TV and radio as one of the RHA’s chief spokesmen.
