Sealed Air to Show How Packaging Can Streamline Performance at IntraLogisteX
Using less packaging material and optimising transportation space. Void reduction system Sealed Air® I-Pack automatically rightsizes corrugated boxes to fit product dimensions. Optimised box sizing can increase vehicle loads and minimise packaging material usage, helping reduce waste and supply chain emissions. Up to 840 cartons can be packaged per hour, using boxes made from 100% recycled fibres*.
Improving packaging productivity and on-pack personalisation. Sealed Air’s AUTOBAG® systems fill, seal and print mailing bags at high speeds. The systems enable operators to reduce bag changeovers, improve uptime and eliminate the need for separate labelling lines. The AUTOBAG® 550 can run at speeds of up to 45 bags per minute, with an integrated printer capable of printing high-resolution graphics, text and barcodes directly on bags to elevate branding and shopper experience.
The AUTOBAG® AB850HB Hybrid also prints directly on bags and can run both poly bags and 100% kerbside recyclable paper bags, where appropriate recycling services are available.
Automating paper-based cushioning. The ProPad® range of systems deliver custom length, fanfolded paper pads for cushioning, wrapping and blocking applications. Made from 100% recycled fibres*, pads are produced on-demand at high-speeds.
Sealed Air will be demonstrating its ProPad® Mini, which is ideally suited for creating protective pads for smaller products, both lightweight and heavy items. The system can be quickly set-up to run on a shelf, table or floor, and features a touchscreen for easy operation. Also on display will be the ProPad® Horizontal, which is designed to fit into tight spaces and operate over pallets to save valuable floor space. Its patented single motor reduces power consumption for greater energy efficiency.
