OAL secures £5m to deploy 1,000 food & beverage-oriented robotic systems
OAL has secured a £5m Innovate UK loan to put more than 1,000 robots into UK food manufacturing by 2030.
The compact, fenceless robots work safely alongside people and can be retrofitted to existing lines for pick-and-place and palletising. OAL says they address persistent labour shortages in food and beverage operations where conventional automation is often too large or rigid.
