Two-legged autonomous delivery robot steps into Barnsley
Evri and Refined Robotics are trialling a two-legged autonomous delivery robot in Barnsley, billed as a first for Europe.
The robot can carry parcels of up to 15kg, climb stairs, cross uneven ground and get in and out of delivery vans, working autonomously or under remote supervision. Evri will assess how it performs in residential areas and what it could mean for last-mile efficiency as the enlarged group handles more than a billion parcels a year.
