Zalando and CEVA Logistics are now using AI-powered robots to handle fashion returns at sites in Germany and Poland.

Dual-arm robots from German developer Sereact have gone live at CEVA facilities in Greven and Świebodzin, where they identify, grip and sort returned clothing without needing to be trained on individual products. Supplied on a Robotics-as-a-Service basis, the deployment is the first phase of a wider plan to automate returns handling across Europe, freeing staff to focus on supervision, exceptions and quality control.
