Exhibitor Q&A: Socius24

Can you please share a little bit about yourself with our visitors?

Socius24 are Blue Yonder’s (formerly JDA & RedPrairie) trusted premier sales & implementation partners in the UK/EU of the market leading Dispatcher WMS or Blue Yonder (BY) Warehouse Management System and widely regarded in the industry as warehouse management experts with an enviable track record of over 70 implementations since our inception in 2013.

The team at Socius24 has a rich heritage of over 25 years in logistics and warehousing. What this means is that we quickly understand companies’ operations and their specific nuances. By being involved with some of the most advanced logistics operations across the globe we understand what it takes to turn the good, into the exceptional, as our customers regularly testify.

When companies implement one of the two BY WMS solutions either with or without integrated Workforce Labour Management (WLM), Yard Management (YM), Third Party Billing (3PB) and USP, they know they are using the system that world-class businesses from large to small trust to run their warehouse operations and Socius24 helps ensure that logistics and warehouse operators of all sizes outperform their competitors. They do this by enabling them to use WMS technologies they didn’t believe they could afford, in ways that they never expected was possible.

Can you please tell us why you chose to exhibit at IntraLogisteX 2020

Socius24 has been a long time attendee at IntraLogisteX as it provides all that an exhibitor would want from this kind of event. It has become an important annual gathering for all relevant software companies to meet delegates of the right profile who are looking to speak with all the most important suppliers within the logistics and supply chain industry under one roof, thus making the best possible use of their valuable time.

What will you be sharing with visitors at the exhibition?

Blue Yonder (BY) Dispatcher WMS and Socius24 USP. We’re delighted that Blue Yonder have restated their long term commitment to the market leading Dispatcher WMS with plans for an updated user interface with close collaboration with Socius24 who have a long history of selling and implementing WMS with staff dating back to Pre-RedPrairie, where Dispatcher was first developed. To complement Dispatcher WMS, Socius24 have developed their User Service Portal (USP) application which is used in conjunction with WMS to deliver additional performance, functionality and real time business intelligence that reduces the “cost to serve” our warehouse customers and contracts.

What do you feel are the biggest challenges facing the industry at the moment?

The most challenging business environment for generations has meant that the traditional challenges of getting the right stock to the right destination at exactly the right time whilst controlling supply chain operational costs, have been magnified, with many companies fighting for survival. The market leaders are viewing warehouses as strategic assets rather than just storage spaces.

The very best software such as BY Dispatcher WMS optimises every aspect of distribution centre fulfilment processes whilst supplying management with complete real time visibility and control. The result is that costs are tightly controlled and customers kept satisfied which gives the best possible chance of weathering the economic storm over the next 12 – 18 months.

Many companies are realising this and reviewing their incumbent software as a matter of urgency which has resulted in Socius24 getting a very healthy level of new enquiries and existing customer upgrades.

Most systems that Socius24 replace aren’t flexible enough to enable companies to be reactive and agile enough to change and precisely configure their inward and outbound processes to meet the specific needs of their customers. Many companies who implement either Dispatcher or BY WMS need configurable and bespoke processes for each and every individual customer or contract and cannot be restricted by one dimensional software. This is the only way they can start to fulfil internal pressures to reduce their running costs of inventory, labour and transportation. Optimisation and analytics within the WMS are foremost in Blue Yonder’s constant evolution of their solutions.
